Welcome To Artwithadifference

Hi, welcome to my world, it is my intention with this blog, to show paintings of some of New Zealand’s most talented yet undiscovered artists, for a long time now it has come too my notice that NZ has some very talented artists in her midst? and I don’t just mean people who Paint? but artists from all categories? this blogs intention is too bring too the fore the talents of many young and old kiwi’s who are too shy or don’t know how too go about getting exposure for what they are good at! There are so many myths about being an artists? one being “You need talent too be an artists” well that’s a load of hogwash! Having bucketfuls of “talent” is no guarantee you’ll be a good artist because it takes more than the ability to be creative.

Fact: Some people do have more of an inherent talent, or an aptitude, for art than others. but if you worry about whether you come in that category or not then your expending wasted energy, better too divert the energy into something more positive. degas is quoted as saying: “Everyone has talent at 25. The difficulty is to have it at 50.” It was John Ruskin who said “What distinguishes a great artist from a weak one is first their sensibility and tenderness; second, their imagination, and third, their industry.” I believe these kind of artists exits in this beautiful country of ours and so i will endeavour too bring to this blog some of the talented artists we have, While many many artists feature in the galleries of NZ it is the raw undiscovered talent that I find appealing? perhaps its because they do this for self gratification and not for monetary gain, art is becoming so commercialized now that true talent is lost too it! The featured painting here today is an untitled piece by a very talented NZ artist Patric Kavetoa! I will feature many paintings from this artist and will have ongoing information regarding his progress and also new an upcoming discoveries along my journeys about discovering art and artists in NZ.
